Jan. 24

 

Marline Sancehz of Delta reported that a male acquaintance was refusing to give her gas money or her 5-year-old son. The man was not the child's father.

 

Rebecca Davidson of Paonia reported that her neighbors have two vicious dogs, which are court ordered to never be off a leash. The dogs were in her yard chasing her cats.

 

Glen Gonger of Delta reported that there were two snowmobilers stuck on a lake on Grand Mesa. Search and rescue was called to assist.

 

A Delta woman reported a forgery. Someone had written a check off of her account at Bank of the West.

 

Jan. 25

A Cedaredge woman reported that a teenage boy was trying to Taze people in her home. She called back a few moments later to say that the boy had been attacked by a pitbull.

 

Peggy Morrow of Orchard City reported that her mailbox was missing. Her neighbors' mailbox had been damaged as well, she reported.

 

Dispatchers received a call from a male party saying "someone better get up there before I kill my mother." They were able to trace the number to an Orchard City address.

 

Jan. 26

Leaf Glimpse of Hotchkiss was arrested on a custodial arrest.

 

Richard Sanchez of Cedaredge reported that the rear tires off of his Saab.

 

Jan. 27

A Delta woman reported that her husband, against whom she has a restraining order, drove by her house three times. The man is currently in court facing charges of animal cruelty as an act of domestic violence after he killed his ex-wife's pets. She left the house and was driving aimlessly until an officer would advise her to go back to the home.

 

A man reported that his son's uncle (his ex-wife's brother), who lives in Crawford, spanked his son with a belt.

 

Jan. 28

Joann Kalenak of Hotchkiss reported that a stray dog near the green bridge in Austin had bitten her.

 

A Delta woman reported she found a syringe in her home and wanted police to remove it.

 

Jan. 29

Ron Brett of Paonia reported a raccoon had bitten him.
