Marce and Noelle Montano opened All Glass Station in October 2008, and while many local businesses are feeling the effects of the downturn in the economy, All Glass Station is growing at such a pace that the Montano’s will have to hire new help much sooner than they expected.
According to Noelle, they have already hired an auto glass specialist and are looking for a part time receptionist.
“With us starting our business at the onset of the recession, we have not grown as fast as we hoped, but we have grown. With it taking longer to grow, we are growing at a rate that allows us to work smart, plan smart, and really focus on customer service,” said Noelle
“I think one of the reasons that we are not being hurt like so many of the businesses is because we provide a service, at a very reasonable cost, that people need. No matter what the economy is doing, if you have a broken windshield, broken windows, torn screens, and stuff like that, it still needs taken care of,” said Noelle.
All Glass Station is also aware that there are new tax credits for people who replace windows with energy efficient replacements. Noelle works to help clients understand what they need to do to receive that 30 percent tax credit. She also helps people that are 62 and over who own their home and land get information for a USDA grant to upgrade windows for energy efficiency.
All Glass Station is now offering window and auto tinting services as well as repairing cracked and rock pit windshields. “If you catch those rock pits before they crack across the windshield, the cost of repair begins at $35.00 rather than having to replace the windshield at a much higher price,” said Marce.
According to the Montano’s, they are seeing customers from Gunnison, Crested Butte and other locations because they have researched the market and believe that they are offering high quality service for the best cost in the area. The Montano’s focus their business in Delta County, but the word is spreading outside the area, much to their surprise.
“I also want people to know that although we do the traditional glass services, I also really enjoy doing special and unique projects for people. I love it when someone wants me to put mirrors or glass in wood or leather home décor, or do inlays in glass or mirrors. I really like doing those projects, I love the challenge and I like the creativity to do some really neat stuff at a very reasonable price,” said Marce.
